Ahora sí que sí, queda poco más de una semana para nuestro V congreso People Teach People. ¿Has visto el estupendo programa que tendremos? ¡Consulta aquí los detalles!

Alexandra Purcell – Small steps and giant leaps – making the A2 Key / B1 Preliminary exam journey count

In this session we will use the new A2 Key and B1 Preliminary exam tasks as a starting point and look at the small steps and giant leaps we can take to help students on their journey to exam success. This is done by putting learners’ educational needs first and helping them develop important life skills such as creative thinking, collaboration and communication.

Willy Cano – Developing learner confidence

Success in any form, be it in life or in the classroom, depends on confidence. It’s an essential ingredient but one that many learners lack. In this workshop, we’ll look at ways to help all learners develop confidence in using English. Real confidence is built on solid foundations and we’ll be examining the use of learning objectives, reflective tasks and the flexible use of materials to meet our learners’ individual needs and empower them to succeed.

David Bradshaw – The write start

Teaching writing can be complicated to do in the classroom, but it is fundamental if our students are to use the language successfully.
In this workshop, we will first consider ways of helping students write well in English at A2/B1 level and offer practical ideas for developing students’ writing skills. We will then review some of the tasks in A2/B1 Writing papers and how to prepare students for them, then consider how to apply the exam assessment criteria in class.
